ShamNoop

Finally shows the character depth that was missing in the first volume

Craig Schorling

I really enjoy the setting and events of the story taking place in the night life scene。 It feels fresh and different。 The yuri story being told is good but nothing fantastic that sticks out。 The pacing is decent and things are always happening。 One more volume to see it to its conclusion。 I'm looking forward to seeing how things wrap up。 I really enjoy the setting and events of the story taking place in the night life scene。 It feels fresh and different。 The yuri story being told is good but nothing fantastic that sticks out。 The pacing is decent and things are always happening。 One more volume to see it to its conclusion。 I'm looking forward to seeing how things wrap up。 。。。more

A good, enjoyable second volume。 I look forward to the next volume。

The music aspect is interesting。 It’s drawn well。 There’s nothing inherently wrong with it。 I just haven’t connected with the story the way I’d have liked to。 This could be attributed to how short it is, perhaps there just isn’t enough setup for me to be invested in the characters。

I love them。。。 so much。。。 Power of friendship, mutual support and understanding, eventual clear and open communication。 Flawless。

I fucking love this volume! I love how there's no really drama but conversation and I loooooove Emi's journey in finding a place where she feels safe and good and happy and passionate! ----I love they way this is developed。 It's not just about the love。 It's also about finding what you want to do with life and about getting over your insecurities and doubts。 Not just being honest with the ones you love but also yourself, which is way harder。I really liked this volume。 I feel like it captures ver I fucking love this volume! 3。5 starsI enjoyed this one more than the first。 I think the first volume was a little more underwhelming in terms of the content, and I do still think that their relationship developed a little too fast。 This one definitely improved。 The focus felt more on their relationship and the struggles in the plot were more enticing than in the first。 I'm actually really excited to read the third volume!!I'll quickly mention that the art is amazing too, really cute and light。 Suited to the story。 3。5 starsI enjoyed this one more than the first。 I think the first volume was a little more underwhelming in terms of the content, and I do still think that their relationship developed a little too fast。 This one definitely improved。 The focus felt more on their relationship and the struggles in the plot were more enticing than in the first。 I'm actually really excited to read the third volume!!I'll quickly mention that the art is amazing too, really cute and light。 Suited to the story。 。。。more

I'd forgotten a lot of volume 1 and it felt like a good portion of this volume was just there and not really progressing much。 I'd forgotten a lot of volume 1 and it felt like a good portion of this volume was just there and not really progressing much。 。。。more

I can't believe it took me so long to come back around and finish this manga, I love it。 It makes me happy。 I am excited to see where they go!No, spoilers, but I'm happy Emi got her shit together a little bit more。。。 but I don't like how indecisive she is。 I hope she becomes a little more motivated and self sufficient in Book #3。I am still loving this little series and the artwork so much! The music industry / party venue side to these are probably my least favorite, it doesn’t make much sense and seems like a shaky plot device but the romance between kei and emi is beautifully done I loved it heart 💜

It's been too long since I read the first one so I was a bit lost。 But beyond that nothing is this volume really hooked me into anything。 I like Emi and Kei, but I don't really care about anything else that's happening。 Maybe that'll change in the next volume。 It's been too long since I read the first one so I was a bit lost。 But beyond that nothing is this volume really hooked me into anything。 I like Emi and Kei, but I don't really care about anything else that's happening。 Maybe that'll change in the next volume。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I’ve come to realize with this series that I care only about Kei and Emi’s relationship and almost nothing about the rest of it。 I do appreciate that the sex scene in this one wasn’t obviously created as fan service or for the male gaze。 Hopefully their relationship sees more development in volume 3。

There was a bump in Emi and Kei’s relationship in this volume and I’m glad that was included。 This volume was so beautiful and it made me emo tbh。 Like Emi still doesn’t know what she wants to do and Kei is stressed with plans。 This is a really great series!

3。5 stars。 I love music but I'm not into all the in-depth conversations on DJing and VJing and all the other related jobs。 The volume ended with some good character development however, making me rate it somewhat higher。 3。5 stars。 I love music but I'm not into all the in-depth conversations on DJing and VJing and all the other related jobs。 The volume ended with some good character development however, making me rate it somewhat higher。 。。。more

What a perfectly beautiful love story

The development from the first volume to the second is wonderful。 The reserved nature of emi and her inability to decide causes a little rift In her developing relationship with Kei。 Is such great character development for emi throughout this volume and such a great way to see her overcome certain issues that have been on her mind, but also looking at how Kei is dealing with finding out about what Emi is hiding。 Delightful and emotional, a great second volume! Onto the final one!

Marame

I loved the fashion style each character had yass!!! The only part i enjoyed was the sex scence。

How about a couple misunderstandings and a rave? The 2 start to drift apart due to miscommunication。 The idea comes up for a massive rave。 Now, they have to convince the rest of the group。 Finally, at the end, the 2 say how they really feel, and there is a very tastefully done love scene。 Good dialogue throughout。 Now time for the party!

Really enjoyed this volume, the relationship is so cute and really well written! I’d really love if there was more focus on the two main characters but I’m okay with reading about the overarching plot too because it’s really interesting!

Not knowing how a story ends bothers me。 My local library system only ever got the first volume of this series, and that copy is now lost。 A local book store had a buy 2 manga get 1 free sale which tempted me a bit, but I found sort of mixed reviews of the series。 So I ended up requesting the last two volumes from outside the system through interlibrary loan。 As a recap, I reread the scanlated chapters online, which covered volume 1 and the first two chapters of this volume。It is a decent story, Not knowing how a story ends bothers me。 My local library system only ever got the first volume of this series, and that copy is now lost。 A local book store had a buy 2 manga get 1 free sale which tempted me a bit, but I found sort of mixed reviews of the series。 So I ended up requesting the last two volumes from outside the system through interlibrary loan。 As a recap, I reread the scanlated chapters online, which covered volume 1 and the first two chapters of this volume。It is a decent story, but not something that I can really get into。 I find the depiction of a different subculture/scene than I'm normally into sort of interesting, but also hard to relate to。 And the story feels a bit choppy at times; there are large skips of time between chapters and sometimes scene transitions within chapters are a bit hard to follow。 Also, I couldn't help but compare the different translations I encountered。 Overall, I think the official, professional translation in this volume is quite good and reads smoothly in conventional English; but I also think maybe it is a bit too slick and lacks character。 The scanlation is a bit rougher and there are definitely times where they had trouble wrangling the very different idiom of Japanese into meaningful English equivalents, but the story is also nerdier and full of odd little quirks explained in marginalia or end notes that provide a bit more cultural flavor and insight。 。。。more

Still SweetStill loving the art。 The story seemed a little choppy to me in this volume, but it gets there。 Looking forward to the big finish in volume three。3。5 stars

Almost lackluster。 Worried about book 2, but this one ended on a nice note。

Rep: Sapphic romance between two queer Japanese womenThe second volume explores Emi's and Kei's new ventures into their work, as well as development in their relationship。 At the end of the previous volume, we learned that Emi still had a boyfriend (who she essentially ghosted when she moved in with Kei) and she hasn't told Kei about this。 Now, as she is figuring out what she wants, she is still scared to come out about it to her。 Kei finds out anyway, and this leads to a tense situation between Rep: Sapphic romance between two queer Japanese womenThe second volume explores Emi's and Kei's new ventures into their work, as well as development in their relationship。 At the end of the previous volume, we learned that Emi still had a boyfriend (who she essentially ghosted when she moved in with Kei) and she hasn't told Kei about this。 Now, as she is figuring out what she wants, she is still scared to come out about it to her。 Kei finds out anyway, and this leads to a tense situation between them, with lots of things unsaid, some insecurity which is all resolved with some communication。 On their project for the rave, they are making good advances, and Emi herself feels more confident in herself as she looks back on what a change she has had in life, going from a regular day job to now night life reigning。 Also, we get to see the group dynamics with Kei's friends and how their attitude towards organizing events has changed, and yet how they find a way to each other。 I think the things I loved best is the honest exploration of feelings from both their sides, as well as the lack of homophobia or even surprise from their friends。 Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review from Viz Media LLC, via Edelweiss。 。。。more

Emi has a boyfriend and he is never shown。 He was mentioned and she even went to see him at their place because they live together and they still didn't show him。 I guess she moved in with Kei because she is always at her house。 Were they broken up? Also I'm always confused when they are talking。 Feels like I joined the conversation late and I'm left out。 Too much talking about being a DJ and not enough showing。 Emi is just doing everything for Kei because she loves her?
